Stewards undertook a check of all catchers licences in this event and all were compliant.
Black Que and Ishmy Dozer were slow to begin. Honey Bourbon, It's All Luck, Florentine Bale, Montaro and Find The Time collided approaching the first turn checking It's All Luck. Honey Bourbon contacted the running rail on the first turn causing Honey Bourbon and Florentine Bale to collide checking both greyhounds. Black Que and Why Woodleigh collided on the first turn checking Why Woodleigh. Honey Bourbon was checked off Black Que on the home turn. It's All Luck raced wide on the home turn.
Honey Bourbon underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
