War Creek and He's For Me were quick to begin. Magic Bulldozer and Kinloch Moss were slow to begin.
Aston Valetta checked off the heels of Tickle My Fancy approaching the home turn. Tickle My Fancy checked off the heels of War Creek on the home turn, and collided with Aston Valetta. War Creek and Magic Bulldozer collided several times on the home turn. Tickle My Fancy and Mastermind Kid collided on the home turn. Aston Valetta, Tickle My Fancy and Mastermind Kid collided on the home turn. Mastermind Kid failed to pursue the lure with due committment on the home turn.
Mastermind Kid underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr William declined the option of a revet.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Williams, the trainer of Mastermind Kid regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Mastermind Kid was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Williams pleaded guilty to the charge, Mastermind Kid is suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
