Tekki Jim underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident the catching pen and was found to have bruising to the skull and left hind leg, and a laceration to the skull and a deep laceration to the inside left hind leg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Miss Ivy was slow to begin. 

Little Miss Ivy and Reap The Rewards collided on the first turn checking Little Miss Ivy.  Simply Smarter faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently lost ground and pulled up.  

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Selleck the representative of Reap The Rewards regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn, Stewards took into consideration the incident involving Simply Smarter and took no further action.

Simply Smarter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.  

Almapa Sunshine - Late scratching at 6.25pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a laceration to the left elbow.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Prior to the running of this event Stewards inspected the track approaching the home turn and deemed the track satisfactory for racing.

Mahjong World was slow to begin.

Boombox Robbie and Refresh collided approaching the first turn checking Boombox Robbie and Chill Out Webby.  Boombox Robbie, Mahjong World and Black Beauty collided on the first turn checking Boombox Robbie and Black Beauty, causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Light The Track checked off Tilly Lee on the second turn.  Boombox Robbie raced wide in the back straight.  Light The Track and Refresh collided on the third turn.  Light The Track checked off Refresh on the home turn.  Boombox Robbie raced wide in the home straight.

Mr G. Brett was issued with a warning after the greyhound Sprout was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Following this event Stewards stood down two Cranbourne track staff from catching pen duties.  The matter will be reported to GRV Racing Operations and the two staff will be unable to perform catching pen duties until they have been reassessed in the role.

Kiwi Hustler, Jumping Breen and Why Not Colby were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Jumping Breen.  Kiwi Hustler brushed the running rail approaching the first turn.  Shifty and Ignite The Stars collided on the first turn checking Ignite The Stars, Jump The Bar and Maverick Rosa, Jump The Bar and Maverick Rosa raced wide as a result.  Kiwi Hustler checked off Levi's Me Boy on the first turn.  Ignite The Star and Levi's Me Boy collided approaching the home turn checking Ignite The Stars.  Kiwi Hustler and Maverick Rosa raced wide entering the home straight.  

Bronelly Buster was quick to begin. Southern Edge, Sultan Bale and Lucas Rose were slow to begin.
