In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.1 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees.

Rock Me Nicholas and It's Happening were slow to begin.

Rock Me Nicholas and Ryder Patrol collided approaching the first turn checking Rock Me Nicholas.  Ryder Patrol checked off Electric Mick on the first turn. It's Happening galloped on Big Bash Punter on the first turn checking It's Happening, Ryder Patrol and severely checking Big Bash Punter, Diamond Lady and Rock Me Nicholas, Big Bash Punter and Rock Me Nicholas lost considerable ground as a result.  Rock Me Nicholas and Big Bash Punter collided on the home turn checking Big Bash Punter.

Big Bash Punter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fibula injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Fleck was slow to begin.

He Shall Rodger galloped on Want It All approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Fleck and Mindil Beach raced wide on the first turn.  Predator and Want It All collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Fleck raced wide in the back straight.  Want It All and Predator collided on the third turn.  Predator and Fleck collided entering the home straight checking Fleck.  Want It All and Mindil Beach collided in the home straight checking Want It All.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Want It All, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Jump The Bar and Saw Blaze collided soon after the start severely checking Saw Blaze.  Aston Jolie checked off Mighty Tracey approaching the first turn.  Emma Banjo, Aston Jolie and Almani Rampage collided on the first turn checking Emma Banjo, Almani Rampage and severely checking Aston Jolie which fell.  Rusty Nail and Why Not Colby collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds causing Rusty Nail to fall.  Emma Banjo and Jump The Bar collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Jump The Bar and Almani Rampage collided in the home straight.

Aston Jolie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sesamoid injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rusty Nail underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left dew claw injury.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr G. Carter requested that Why Not Colby undergo a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Almani Rampage, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Soldado clipped the heels of Secret Thoughts approaching the first turn checking Soldado, Insuperable and Line Seeker.  Line Seeker checked off Soldado on the second turn.  Soldado and Insuperable collided on the third turn checking Soldado.

Why Not Bazzar was quick to begin.

That Will Be, Bronelly Buster and Break The Plate collided soon after the start checking That Will Be and Break The Plate.  John's Last checked off Lochinvar Adore approaching the first turn.  Bronelly Buster brushed the running rail on the first turn.  John's Last raced wide on the first turn.  Lochinvar Adore faltered in the home straight and lost ground.  That Will Be and Break The Plate raced wide in the home straight.

Lochinvar Adore underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Bronelly Buster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Just Faith, Newtown Angel and Mr. Changretta collided soon after the start checking Newtown Angel.  Mr. Changretta and Just Faith collided approaching the first turn checking Just Faith.  Lektra Miss and Mindy's Girl collided on the first turn checking Lektra Miss.  Lektra Miss faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground.  Mindy's Girl and Let's Roll collided on the first turn checking Let's Roll.

Lektra Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
