Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Ryder.
East Street and Aston Ultra were quick to begin. Zipping Ryder was slow to begin.
Caveman Yap and Zipping Ryder collided approaching the first turn checking Weslyn Bale. Caveman Yap raced wide approaching the home turn checking Weslyn Bale. Tan Back Tan checked off Aston Ultra in the home straight. Tan Back Tan failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight, turned its head inwards and collided with Aston Ultra and East Street. Tan Back Tan, East Street and Aston Utra collided approaching the winning post.
Tan Back Tan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Peter Bartlett regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tan Back Tan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Tan Back Tan must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
