In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 30.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.7 degrees. 

Miss Liberty was quick to begin. Akoya and Zambora Clown were slow to begin.

Lightning Roger and Just Like Mum collided soon after the start. Akoya and Aerolithology collided approaching the first turn. Lightning Roger and Zambora Clown collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aerolithology and Akoya collided on the home turn causing Akoya to race wide.

Lancashire was quick to begin. Pyrenees Daisy was slow to begin. 

Solar Tiny and Sofie Gogolac collided soon after the start. Lancashire, Solar Tiny and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the first turn checking Lancashire and Solar Tiny. Crazy Summer and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the first turn. Burner Black, Lancashire and Solar Tiny collided on the first turn severely checking Lancashire. Simmo Gogolac and Sofie Gogolac collided on the home turn. Burner Black and Pyrenees Daisy collided in the home straight. 

Lancashire underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. M. Chilcott failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Simmo Gogolac for racing.  Mr. Chilcott was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Zoe's Intention - Late scratching at 2.02pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right front toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Laile Brobio and Chill Out Pedro were slow to begin. 

Big Papi, Regal Missile and Lektra Rebel collided on the first turn checking Regal Missile and Lektra Rebel. Laile Brobio and Chill Out Pedro collided on the first turn. Laile Brobio checked off Aston Eureka in the home straight and collided with Chill Out Pedro. Laile Brobio checked off Chill Out Pedro approaching the winning post.

East Street and Aston Ultra were quick to begin. Zipping Ryder was slow to begin. 

Caveman Yap and Zipping Ryder collided approaching the first turn checking Weslyn Bale. Caveman Yap raced wide approaching the home turn checking Weslyn Bale. Tan Back Tan checked off Aston Ultra in the home straight. Tan Back Tan failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight, turned its head inwards and collided with Aston Ultra and East Street. Tan Back Tan, East Street and Aston Utra collided approaching the winning post.

Tan Back Tan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Peter Bartlett regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tan Back Tan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Tan Back Tan must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Circus Oasis was slow to begin. 

Psycho Star and Pure Cool Titan collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Psycho Star and Pure Cool Titan collided on the first turn checking Psycho Star. 

Hardaway JayJay and Panadero King collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Kane checked off Smarty Pants on the first turn.

Fast Trapper, Lava You Beauty, Awesome Shep and Aston Lopez colided approaching the first turn checking Lava You Beauty. Lava You Beauty checked off Awesome Shep approaching the home turn. Awesome Shep checked off Tin Shed Fred on the home turn and raced wide. Fast Trapper checked off He's An Ace entering the home straight.

Tye Me Over was slow to begin.

Close To Carnage – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Warrnambool  on 6.1.2020 Close To Carnage was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was free from injury. Close To Carnage was Cleared  to race.  A urine sample was taken from Close To Carnage.
