Why Not Gazza was slow to begin.
Golden Romance, Aston Asahi, Cash No Bounce, Why Not Gazza and Gamboa collided approaching the first turn, checking Hasta Manana and Aston Asahi and Golden Romance which lost ground as a result. Why Not Gazza galloped on the heels of Krypton Girl approaching the winning post and lost ground.
Krypton Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
