Steward's Report
Parrotfish Fozz - Late scratching at 11:19am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. B. Fothergill was fined $100.
Ms. S. Dalton was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Armani Arby pursuant to GAR 33.
Armani Arby was very slow to begin (4L). Shae's Pickles visibly eased soon after the start. Now And Then, Take A Lily and Shae's Pickles collided approaching the first turn checking Take A Lily. Take A Lily and Armani Arby collided on the home turn. Shae's Pickles and Garage Sale collided entering the home straight. Lex's Delight galloped on the heels of Garage Sale in the home straight severely checking Lex's Delight which collided with Now And Then and Armani Arby. Shae's Pickles and Now And Then collided in the home straight.
Shae's Pickles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-examined following race 6, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Van taarling, the trainer of Shae's Pickles regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Shae's Pickles was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Van taarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Shae's Pickles is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
