Roper River Jake and Don't Mind Me collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Tornado Tears and Don't Mind Me collided approaching the first turn. Kessler Bale and Don't Mind Me collided on the first turn. Kessler Bale crossed out on the first turn checking Kessler Bale, Tornado Tears and Don't Mind Me. Roper River Jake, Blue Shadows and Steinbrenner collided entering the back straight checking Blue Shadows. Tornado Tears and Don't Mind Me collided entering the back straight.
Don't Mind Me underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 7. Don't Mind Me was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
