Steward's Report
Orleans was slow to begin.
Kadalex Kid and Down Mexico Way collided soon after the start. South Of Eden checked off Cruisy's Rose approaching the first turn and collided with Kadalex Kid. Orleans faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Roger Express, South Of Eden and Kadalex Kid collided on the first turn checking South Of Eden. Roger Express checked off Down Mexico Way entering the home straight.
Orleans underwent a post-race veterinary examination and and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Crackerjack Nath underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Crackerjack Nath was found to havea suspected fractured left stoppper bone and a spike wound to the left dew claw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Cruisy's Rose - the winner of the event.
