In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.5 degrees. 

Stewards inspected vehicles in the car park and all were compliant with the policy. 

Darcy's Crystal was very slow to begin - 6 lengths. Lori Love was quick to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Illicit. Isotope was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Lori Love. 

Isotope and Cherokee Cash collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Isotope. Illicit checked off Lori Love on the second turn checking Sibling. Lori Love and Isotope collided in the back straight.

In accordance with LR 22 Mrs Nolene Hill was issued with a warning regarding her non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

A post-race sample was taken from Agent Rocket - the winner of the event.

Majestic Way was slow to begin.

Potente Rocks, Majestic Way and Natsu Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Natsu Bale and Majestic Way. Cayden Bale, Winlock Player, Novo Ollie and Potente Rocks collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Player. Cayden Bale attempted to cross to the outside approaching the second turn and collided with Potente Rocks. Novo Ollie and My Boy Winlock collided approaching the second turn. Novo Ollie, Potente Rocks, Cayden Bale and My Boy Winlock collided entering the back straight checking Cayden Bale and Potente Rocks.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Limburg Special, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Spot On Mick and Limburg Special were slow to begin.

Limburg Special and Rodrigo Bale collided soon after the start. Limburg Special checked off Easy Street approaching the first turn checking Spot On Mick. Tiggerlong Back and Limburg Nemesis collided on the second turn. Tiggerlong Back checked off Rodrigo Bale on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bartholomew Bale.

Dark Arrow and Ragnar Bale were slow to begin.

Begonia Bale and Bartholomew Bale collided soon after the start checking Begonia Bale. Begonia Bale and Ragnar Bale collided approaching the first turn. Baby Eden, Christo Bale and Bartholomew Bale checking Christo Bale, Dark Arrow, Begonia Bale and Ragnar Bale. Christo Bale checked off Baby Eden approaching the second turn. Baby Eden checked off Bartholomew Bale on the second turn. Dark Arrow and Ragnar Bale collided on the third turn. 

Orleans was slow to begin.

Kadalex Kid and Down Mexico Way collided soon after the start. South Of Eden checked off Cruisy's Rose approaching the first turn and collided with Kadalex Kid. Orleans faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Roger Express, South Of Eden and Kadalex Kid collided on the first turn checking South Of Eden. Roger Express checked off Down Mexico Way entering the home straight. 

Orleans underwent a post-race veterinary examination and and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Nath underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Crackerjack Nath was found to havea suspected fractured left stoppper bone and a spike wound to the left dew claw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Cruisy's Rose - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Renewed.

Shima Deal was slow to begin.

Blusain Bolt, Matilda Mikado, Renewed and Blue Fabianna collided soon after the start checking Blue Fabianna. Railway Burra checked off Selynya Ryan on the first turn and collided with So Tough. So Tough checked off Selynya Ryan entering the front straight checking Railway Burra. Renewed and Shima Deal collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Shima Deal. Railway Burra and Blue Fabianna collided on the second turn. Selynya Ryan raced wide on the second turn. Blue Fabianna checked off Railway Burra on the third turn. Matilda Mikado checked off Selynya Ryan on the fourth turn. Railway Burra and Blue Fabianna collided on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jokare.

Keeping Busy, Kiss Me Nicki and Mania Honey collided approaching the first turn. Jokare faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off checking Mania Honey.

Jokare underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Speedy Spyro was quick to begin. Benali and Oxley One were slow to begin.

Winlock Thor checked off Prince Mark soon after the start. Benali checked off You Aussie soon after the start and collided with Oxley. Prince Mark, Mastermind Kid, You Aussie and Winlock Winner collided approaching the first turn checking You Aussie and Oxley One and severely checking Mastermind Kid. Prince Mark and Winlock Winner collided on the second turn. Winlock Thor checked off Winlock Winner in the back straight. Oxley One and Winlock Winner collided on the home turn checking Winlock Winner.

Smart Mary was quick to begin. Mimstar was slow to begin.

Big Dove and Sam I'm Mikado collided soon after the start. Harrell Bale, Selynya Teddy, Eastside, Big Dove, Sam I'm Mikado and Ice Cold Yug collided on the first turn checking Eastside, severely checking Sam I'm Mikado and Mimstar; Sam I'm Mikado pulled up as a result. Selynya Teddy checked off Smart Mary approaching the second turn. Harrell Bale and Ice Cold Yug collided approaching the second turn. Eastside checked off Ice Cold Yug on the third turn and collided with Mimstar. Selynya Tedd and Smart Mary collided approaching the home turn. Eastside and Mimstar collided on the home turn.

Sam I'm Mikado underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left chest muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms M. Barber the representative, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sam I'm Mikado was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Sam I'm Mikado must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
