Steward's Report
Darcy’s Crystal went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin. Paradise Pippa and Army Bale collided soon after the start. Army Bale, Al’s Vixen and Graphic Design collided approaching the first checking Army Bale and Graphic Design, severely checking Al’s Vixen who contacted the running rail as a result. Paradise Pippa and Graphic Design collided on the first turn. Galaxy Queen checked off Happy Hannah approaching the home turn. Army Bale and Galaxy Queen collided approaching the home turn. Graphic Design, Army Bale and Galaxy bale collided on the home turn: causing Paradise Pippa to check off Galaxy Queen.
A post-race sample was taken from Graphic Design - third place in the event.
Al's Vixen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both tricep muscles. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Darcy's Crystal underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr B Grenfell,the handler of Darcy's Crystal and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.
