Steward's Report
This race was rescheduled to 12:25pm.
Betty Bowl and Esmay collided soon after the start. Billy's Missile and Snap Decision collided soon after the start. Bit Fancy, Snap Decision and Billy's Missile collided at the 300m mark checking Snap Decision, Billy's Missile and Superior Merlot. Esmay and Betty Bowl collided at the 300m mark. Esmay and Run Fast Bonnie collided at the 150m mark severely checking Run Fast Bonnie; causing Run Fast Bonnie to fall.
Run Fast Bonnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness to both metacarpals, injuries to both chest muscles and an abrasion to the left biceps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trevor Whitford, the Trainer of Snap Decision regarding the market support for the greyhound in this event. Mr Whitford stated that Snap Decision performed to his expectations and he did not support the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr Whitford's explanation and directed a post-race sample be taken from the greyhound.
