Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Warrior Armo, Maddingley Park and Dire Straits collided soon after the start.  Dire Straits and Urana Vieri collided at the 200m mark.  Urana Vieri, Dire Straits and Atlantic Lady collided at the 150m mark checking Atlantic Lady.

This race was rescheduled to 11:44am.

A pre-race sample was taken from Be Careful Boss.

Elite Gift and Maximum Capers collided approaching the 250m mark.  American Missile, Wicked Show and Power Load collided at the 200m mark checking Elite Gift and Maximum Capers; severely checking American Missile, Wicked Show and Power Load.  American Missile and Power Load collided approaching the 150m mark checking both greyhounds.  American Missile checked off Power Load at the 150m mark.  Elite Gift crossed to the outside at the 150m mark and raced wide.  

Wicked Show underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries left deltoid muscle, right monkey muscle and a spike wound to the left foreleg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

This race was rescheduled to 12:04pm.

Walk On Bye checked off Peter Galo at the 250m mark.  Fuel 'Em and Buck The Jockey collided at the 150m mark.  Superior Bont and Buck The Jockey collided approaching the 100m mark and again at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.  

This race was rescheduled to 12:25pm.

Betty Bowl and Esmay collided soon after the start.  Billy's Missile and Snap Decision collided soon after the start.  Bit Fancy, Snap Decision and Billy's Missile collided at the 300m mark checking Snap Decision, Billy's Missile and Superior Merlot.  Esmay and Betty Bowl collided at the 300m mark.  Esmay and Run Fast Bonnie collided at the 150m mark severely checking Run Fast Bonnie; causing Run Fast Bonnie to fall.

Run Fast Bonnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness to both metacarpals, injuries to both chest muscles and an abrasion to the left biceps.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trevor Whitford, the Trainer of Snap Decision regarding the market support for the greyhound in this event. Mr Whitford stated that Snap Decision performed to his expectations and he did not support the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr Whitford's explanation and directed a post-race sample be taken from the greyhound.

This race was rescheduled to 12:44pm.

Golden Years and Bilbo were slow to begin.

La Quinta Rocks, Bilbo and Paint Peeler collided soon after the start.  By Your Side and Paint Peeler collided approaching the 250m mark.  Golden Years and La Quinta Rocks collided approaching the 250m mark.

This race was rescheduled to 1:04pm.

Lucky Millie was slow to begin.

Toyman Tim and Flaming Fabio collided soon after the start.  New Samsation and Ted's Dream collided approaching the 300m mark and again approaching the 250m mark.  Liam Roxon and Flaming Fabio collided at the 200m mark.  Liam Roxon and Flaming Fabio collided approaching the 100m mark.

This race was rescheduled to 1:19pm.

Perfect Rocky and Inter Phillip were slow to begin.

Tibby Shore, Cosmic Ox and Inter Phillip collided soon after the start.  Tibby Shore and Cosmic Ox collided at the 250m mark checking Tibby Shore which lost considerable ground.  

Tibby Shore underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadricep muscle injury and a spike wound to the right hind paw.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Superior Breeze - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to David Condon, the Trainer of Superior Kiki in relation to the scratching of the greyhound in this event. Mr Condon stated that he noticed Superior Kiki had swelling in the right fibula on Friday night. The greyhound was routinely vetted on Saturday and subsequently scratched due to a hairline fracture to the right fibula. 

This race was rescheduled to 1:39pm.

Concrete Fever and Uptown Trixie collided at the 250m mark. Pretty Boy Pat and Dusty Rebel collided at the 200m mark.  Concrete Fever faltered at the 150m mark.  Ginger Bar and Remember Jimmy collided approaching the winning post.  

Concrete Fever underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Concrete Fever was found to have a right flexor tendon injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Wazza Hawk – Late scratching at 8:26am when Cameron Bahen reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Duke Of Burnley - Late scratching at 10:15am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to swelling to the right metatarsals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

This race was rescheduled to 1:56pm.

Balance visibly eased at the 150m mark and again several times between the 50m mark and the winning post.  

Balance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury and a open scab on the right foreleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Cameron Knott, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark and again from the 50m mark to the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Balance was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Knott pleaded not guilty to the charge, Balance was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Challis Sprite - the winner of the event.

This race was rescheduled to 2:14pm.

Mac's Mayhem, Too Good Joog and Thirty Red were slow to begin.

Mac's Mayhem and Too Good Joog collided soon after the start.  Parabellum, Ishmy Barry and Gamboa collided at the 200m mark.  Parabellum and Ishmy Barry collided approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark.

This race was rescheduled to 2:30pm.

Last Night raced wide approaching the 150m mark.  Lektra Elsa and Soho Girl collided approaching the 100m mark.
