Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Entranced and Super Zoom Jake collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Stardom and Aston Thunder collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Thunder.  Stardom and Entranced collided approaching the first turn checking Entranced and Super Zoom Jake.  Entranced and Super Zoom Jake collided on the first turn checking Entranced.  Mr. Bar Wicked checked off Sanctify entering the back straight causing Mr. Bar Wicked to lose ground, severely checking Immersion which stumbled as a result.  Dim Sim and Sanctify collided in the back straight checking Dim Sim.

Lot Coin Babe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right calf muscle and right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Karabitsakos, Trainer of Lot Coin Babe, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lot Coin Babe was charged with marring.  Mr Karabitsakos pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lot Coin Babe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Giggling Gerty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a severe injury to the right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Reiko Boss and Iago Bale were quick to begin.  Silver Smarty and Taken were slow to begin.  Just Lovin' It and Silver Smarty collided approaching the first turn checking Silver Smarty and Who Cry Now.  Special Victim and Iago Bale collided on the first turn checking Iago Bale and Taken.  Just Lovin' It and Special Victim collided on the second turn checking Special Victim, Iago Bale and Devel Sixteen.  Silver Smarty and Devel Sixteen collided in the back straight checking Devel Sixteen.  Special Victim checked off Iago Bale approaching the home turn checking Silver Smarty and Who Cry Now, causing Special Victim, Silver Smarty and Who Cry Now to race wide.  Just Lovin' It and Reiko Boss collided on the home turn.  Just Lovin' It marred Reiko Boss in the home straight checking Special Victim and Devel Sixteen, causing Devel Sixteen to fall checking Silver Smarty as a result.

Stewards spoke to Ms. E. Johannsen, Representative of Just Lovin' It, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Just Lovin' It was charged with marring.  Ms. Johannsen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Just Lovin' It was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Devel Sixteen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Be So Good was quick to begin.  Driftin' Away and Montaya collided approaching the first turn checking Montaya.  Bartholomew Bale and Driftin' Away collided on the first turn.  Driftin' Away and Dark Jedi collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Bartholomew Bale and Bonafide collided in the back straight checking Bonafide.  Driftin' Away, Bartholomew Bale and Montaya collided on the third turn checking Bartholomew Bale and Montaya.  Bartholomew Bale and Dark Jedi collided approaching the home turn checking Dark Jedi.  Charlie Bale and Be So Good collided in the home straight checking Bartholomew Bale and Be So Good.

Show Of Force and Alamosa Bill collided soon after the start.  Croucher faltered soon after the start and tailed off.  Aston Cosmo, Blue Striker and Fast Food Junkie collided approaching the first turn, checking Blue Striker, severely checking Fast Food Junkie which fell as a result.  Aston Zephyr and Phantom Call collided approaching the second turn checking Aston Zephyr.  Blue Striker checked off Aston Zephyr in the back straight.  Aston Cosmo and Blue Striker collided in the back straight checking Blue Striker.  Blue Striker lost ground from the back straight to the winning post.

Croucher was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left stifle and left back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Blue Striker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Fast Food Junkie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left front foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Just Fernando was slow to begin.  Barefoot Barry, Cornhill Rebel and Shifting Sands collided approaching the first turn checking Cornhill Rebel.  Verne Bale, Just Fernando and Shamrock Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Just Fernando.  Just Fernando and Shamrock Boy collided on the first turn checking Shamrock Boy.  Shamrock Boy checked off Gypsy Bun in the back straight.  Verne Bale and Cornhill Rebel collided approaching the home turn checking Verne Bale.  Verne Bale and Just Fernando collided on the home turn checking Just Fernando.  Shamrock Boy checked off Verne Bale in the home straight.

Subsequent to the event Trainer Mr. C. Treherne reported that Just Fernando sustained a minor split webbing on the right hind leg.
