Steward's Report
My Attitude was quick to begin. Jebrynah Octave was slow to begin. Jackson's River visibly eased approaching the first turn. Airly Spence galloped on Jebrynah Octave approaching the home turn. Canowindra and Miss Caitlyn collided entering the home straight.
Jackson's River underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout the trainer of Jackson's River regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR (69)(A)(1) Jackson's River was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge, Jackson's River is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Airly Spence proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
