Smarty Pants was quick to begin. Cryer's Spring was slow to begin.
Delusional Fab galloped on Cryer's Spring on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Prophetess checked off Fly High Billy approaching the home turn. Cryer's Spring and Railway Burra collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
Fly High Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the right hind paw and leg hindleg triangle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
