A pre-race sample was taken from Bayside Bourbski.

Zambora Lulu and Little Tubbsy were quick to begin.

Milly Mac and Frankie Fever collided soon after the start. Zambora Lulu, Milly Mac and Fourth Dimension collided on the first turn. Lara Tara, Zambora Lulu and Milly Mac collided on the first turn checking Milly Mac and severely checking Zambora Lulu. Little Tubbsy and Bayside Bourbski collided approaching the third turn checking Little Tubbsy.

Zambora Lulu underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion over the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.
