Divine Jewel was quick to begin. Who Is Arandt and Redzin were slow to begin.
Fernandes and Red The Run collided soon after the start. Lights Action and Fenway Lights collided soon after the start. Fernandes and Fenway Lights collided on the first turn checking Lights Action. Fernandes and Lights Action collided on the home turn checking Lights Action. Fireball Frank visibly eased and looked inwards in the home straight.
Fireball Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Adam Richardson, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fireball Frank was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Richardson pleaded guilty to the charge, Fireball Frank must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
