Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Skibo Rebel.
Skibo Rebel was slow to begin.
Skibo Rebel checked off Miss Zeus soon after the start. Miss Zeus checked off Galaxy Queen on the first turn. Skibo Rebel turned its head outwards and brushed with Barnstar on the home turn.
Skibo Rebel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg split webbing and monkey muscle injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr S Elsum regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Skibo Rebel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Elsum pleaded not guilty to the charge, Skibo Rebel was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
