Steward's Report
Follow The Que - Late scratching at 4:34 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr M Johnson was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Burst Of Yap.
Rose Bay and Staggermite were slow to begin.
Roger Rocks, Maximum Jodie and Structure collided approaching the first turn, checking Maximum Jodie. Burst Of Yap and Rose Bay collided on the first turn, checking Rose Bay. Staggermite turned its head outwards approaching the winning post.
Staggermite underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms S Quinlan, the trainer of Staggermite regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Staggermite was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Quinlan pleaded guilty to the charge, Staggermite is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.
