Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cranberry Miss.
Courting and Aston Silk were quick to begin.
Security Code and Mepunga Isla collided soon after the start. Security Code crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Amarillo Highway. Cranberry Miss and Amarillo Highway collided on the first turn. Spearhead checked off Cranberry Miss on the first turn causing Cranberry Miss, Spearhead and Security Code to collide checking all three greyhounds. Mepunga Isla and Shanlyn Deano collided approaching the second turn, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Courting and Amarillo Highway collided on the third turn. Cranberry Miss and Security Code collided on the third turn. Amarillo Highway checked off Aston Silk approaching the turn. Aston Silk checked off Mepunga Isla entering the home straight.
At the conclusion of this event, Judges inadvertently displayed the numbers 7/2/1/5 on the semaphore board before immediately correcting the numbers to 7/2/4/5 for the correct placings.
