Come On Eleanor was quick to begin.
Marcus Rose, One Step Forward and Big Brebler collided soon after the start. Marcus Rose and One Step Forward collided on the first turn. Come On Eleanor and Big Brebler collided approaching the winning post. Come On Eleanor visibly eased approaching the winning post and collided with Big Brebler.
Come On Eleanor underwent a post-race veterinary examination, no apparent injury was detected. Stewards spoke to handler Mr. Joe Borg, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1), Come On Eleanor was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Come On Eleanor must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
