My Ollie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right foreleg monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr J. Borg regarding the below market expectation performance in this event. Mr Borg was disappointed in the performance tonight and explained that the greyhound appeared to dip soon after the start and displayed signs of soreness post race. Mr Borg added that the greyhound's racing future with their kennel will be assessed.

Come On Eleanor underwent a post-race veterinary examination, no apparent injury was detected. Stewards spoke to handler Mr. Joe Borg, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1), Come On Eleanor was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Come On Eleanor must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
