Steward's Report
Kraken Tex was quick to begin. Keepsake Dolly, Burning Express and Tin Shed Fred were slow to begin.
Keepsake Dolly and Burning Express collided approaching the first turn, checking Burning Express. Eaglehawk Miss checked off Agent Laylan approaching the first turn. Neo Bale, Kraken Tex and Agent Laylan collided on the first turn, checking Neo Bale, Kraken Tex and Eaglehawk Miss. Neo Bale and Kraken Tex collided on the first turn, causing Kraken Tex to fall and resulting in Keepsake Dolly stumbling and racing wide. Neo Bale and Tin Shed Fred collided approaching the winning post.
Kraken Tex underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have lumbo-sacral injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Agent Laylan - the winner of the event.
Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the circumstances pertaining to the greyhound Agent Laylan omitting a tablet in the swab bay, prior to the greyhound undertaking a post-race swab. Stewards took initial evidence from trainer Mr. J. Hardy and Steward Mr. M. Blood and will refer this matter to the GRV Integrity Unit.
