Steward's Report
No Problem John and Ben Doon collided soon after the start. Staggermite, Bruno He Mikado and Coyote Ugly collided soon after the start. Hello Goodnight and Bruno He Mikado collided at the 150m mark. Bruno He Mikado checked off Rocky Infrared approaching the100m mark. Bruno He Mikado and Rocky Infrared collided at the 50m mark. Staggermite turned its head to the outside and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Staggermite underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Colin Dalton, the trainer of Staggermite regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Staggermite was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dalton pleaded guilty to the charge, Staggermite is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
