A pre-race sample was taken from My Names Rhonda.
Tiggy Buzzard and Run Maggie Run collided soon after the start checking Tiggy Buzzard. My Names Rhonda and Jacobite Joseph collided at the 250m mark checking Jacobite Joseph. Dan's Hopeful and Tiggy Buzzard collided at the 150m mark. Jacobite Joseph crossed to the rail at the 100m mark. Sweet Ambush marred Doran's Call at the 50m mark. Sweet Ambush and Doran's Call collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Sweet Ambush underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Glenn Maxwell, the trainer of Sweet Ambush regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Sweet Ambush was charged with marring. Mr Maxwell pleaded guilty to the charge, Sweet Ambush is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
