Steward's Report
Trainer Mr A. Steele was issued a warning for failing to kennel all of his greyhounds by the appointed kennelling time in accordance with GAR 31(2).
Due to a malfunction with the sectional split timing system the first split was recorded from the photo finish camera with the second split hand timed.
Handler Mrs J Greenough failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Better Watch Out for racing. Mrs J Greenough was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2)
Tommy Lava checked off Ride On on the first turn. Better Watch Out, Buddy Boy Turbo and Red Light Rico collided on the first turn causing Buddy Boy Turbo to fall. Ride On and Better Watch Out collided on the second turn. Red Light Rico checked off Pete's Dream in the back straight. Red Light Rico and Pete's Dream collided approaching the home turn.
Buddy Boy Turbo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be injured in the right deltoid, right shoulder muscle and lacerations and abrasions to the left foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
