Bernmar Junior was slow to begin. Sprightly Bro and Shanlyn Rob collided on the first turn checking Sprightly Bro. Carpark Flame clipped the heels of Sprightly Bro on the first turn. Bernmar Junior galloped on Carpark Flame on the first turn checking Bearing Gold and severely checking Carpark Flame, Bigwig and Bernmar Junior, Bigwig and Bernmar Junior fell as a result.
Bernmar Junior underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left stifle. No stand down period was imposed.
