Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.40 degrees.
Filorga Bale and Majestic Way were quick to begin.
Majestic Way crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Crazy Foxy Cool. Filorga Bale and Majestic Way collided approaching the first turn. Donovan Bale checked off Filorga Bale approaching the home turn. Fairytale Youth checked off Majestic Way approaching the home turn. Fairytale Youth and Majestic Way collided on the home turn.
Crazy Foxy Cool underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo- sacral injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Harry - the winner of the event.
