In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.40 degrees. 

Filorga Bale and Majestic Way were quick to begin.

Majestic Way crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Crazy Foxy Cool. Filorga Bale and Majestic Way collided approaching the first turn. Donovan Bale checked off Filorga Bale approaching the home turn. Fairytale Youth checked off Majestic Way approaching the home turn. Fairytale Youth and Majestic Way collided on the home turn.

Crazy Foxy Cool underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo- sacral injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Harry - the winner of the event.

Fab's Winnie, Polly's Yohanna and Alvardo collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds Alvarado and Polly's Yohanna lost ground as a result. Fabs You Go and Untested collided on the first turn: Fabs You Go pulled up as a result. Alvarado checked off Fabs You Go approaching the home turn causing Fabs You Go and Polly's Yohanna to collide. Alvarado and Untested raced wide in the home straight.

Fabs You Go underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor abrasion to the right hindleg, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr T Dailly, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Fabs You Go was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr T Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Fabs You Go must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted

A post-race sample was taken from Stretch Butler - the winner of the event.

Cell Block Tango went up with the lids at box rise. 

Snake Pit Lass and Waldorf collided on the first turn causing both to race wide. Wonderful World and Earn The Frank collided approaching the second turn. Cell Block Tango, Snake Pit Lass and Earn The Frank collided entering the back straight checking Earn The Frank and Snake Pit Lass. Snake Pitt Lass checked off Waldorf on the third turn.

Winlock Newbolt was slow to begin.

Weblec Jack and Miss Bellawood collided soon after the start. Weblec Jack and Optimus Dusty collided approaching the first turn. Weblec Jack checked off Optimus Dusty entering the back straight. Weblec Jack checked off Mod Squad on the third turn. Miss Bellawood checked off Weblec Jack approaching the home turn.

Daniel Avocado and Tiggerlong Al collided soon after the start. Mother Hannah, Aston Corinna and Tippa collided soon after the start checking Mother Hannah causing Aston Corinna, Mother Hannah and Daniel Avocado to collide, severely checking Mother Hannah. Cindy's Oliver and Tippa collided on the first turn checking Cindy's Oliver.

Mother Hannah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have minor abrasions to both back feet.  No stand down period was imposed.

Daniel Avocado, which vomited in the kennel block following the event, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormality was detected.

Stewards directed a post race swab from the winner of the event, however the greyhound required treatment from the on track veterinarian therefore a swab was not obtained.

Van Wilson was quick to begin.

Cabin Fever and Super Blu collided on the third turn. Spandau Ballet commenced to lose ground from the third turn and subsequently pulled up in the home straight.

Spandau Ballet underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr J Willoughby, the handler of Spandau Ballet regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Spandau Ballet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Willoughby pleaded guilty to the charge, Spandau Ballet is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Van Wilson, which fell on the finish on lure, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius/ulna fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Hungry Eyes – New declared weight of 33.6kgs, last raced at 35.2kgs.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Shima Melody, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Fernando's Flare was quick to begin. 

Base Camp and Blackpool Amour collided soon after the start. Cawbourne Scar and Fran Bale collided approaching the first turn. Winlock Rose checked off Fernando's Flare on the first turn checking Winlock Rose. Base Camp and Blackpool Amour collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Blackpool Amour to stumble. Foxy Molly checked off Wilbur Deeds approaching the home turn. Foxy Molly checked off Cawbourne Scar entering the home straight.

Hooked On You and Magic Vogue collided on the first turn checking Magic Vogue. Mister Harlewood and Three Toots collided on the first turn checking Three Toots. Mister Harlewood and Magic Vogue collided approaching the home turn.

Butterfish was slow to begin.

Bonafide and Brian Harold collided soon after the start. Okay Sam and Bonafide collided on the first turn. Brian Harold checked off Josephine on the home turn. Beaut Deeds and Josephine collided approaching the winning post.
