Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Bromley and Create A Scene were slow to begin.

Dr. Rozzie checked off Cyclone Jebel soon after the start. American Missile checked off Carrie approaching the first turn. Fernandes checked off Autumn Haze on the first turn. Carrie checked off Fernandes on the home turn. Savanah Lee, Cyclone Jebel and Carrie collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Fernandes checked off Carrie approaching the winning post.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr. R. Glass and Parade Steward Mr. G. Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

Braeside and Aston Antoine collided approaching the first turn. Xenophilius checked off Paint Peeler on the first turn. Xenophilius and Paint Peeler collided approaching the home turn. Dr. Edward galloped on the heels of Annie Rocks on the home turn severely checking Claydon, Annie Rocks and Dr. Edward and causing Annie Rocks to fall. Braeside and Xenophilius collided entering the home straight. Claydon checked off Paint Peeler in the home straight.

Annie Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a back injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Edward underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Mr. Ned McDonald failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Annie Rocks for racing.  Mr. McDonald was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Maximum Sarah checked off Our Harriet soon after the start severely checking Maximum Sarah and Skeleton Key.

Our Harriet raced wide in the home straight.

Maximum Sarah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore limb. No stand down period was imposed.

Discovery Lad and Regal Missile collided approaching the first turn checking Regal Missile and severely checking Discovery Lad and causing it to fall. Phantom Call and Superstitious collided on the first turn checking Superstitious. Phantom Call checked off Super Zoom Jake on the home turn checking Yakima. Super Zoom Jake checked off Phantom Call entering the home straight.

Discovery Lad underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Nera Enough was slow to begin.

Easy Choice and My Name's Wally collided approaching the first turn. Jimmy Turbo and Whisky Hans collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Nera Enough and Bareki collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Special Victim.

Solar Charge, Special Victim and Kraken Bam Bam collided on the first turn checking Solar Charge, Special Victim, My Name's George and Kraken Bam Bam. Harry's My Name, Special Victim and Kraken Bam Bam collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds.

Love Heart and Bilbo were slow to begin.

Chasing Rex, Hodge's Lane and Space Alert collided on the first turn checking Hodge's Lane and Space Alert. Hodge's Lane, Love Heart and Space Alert collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Love Heart, Bilbo and Space Alert collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds.

Madame Pookie, Winsome Fernando, Kraken Maxi, Florentine Bale, Scarletto and Awesome Asset collided on the first turn checking all six greyhounds and causing Florentine Bale to fall.

Florentine Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.
