Why Not Rose and Crashing Lil were quick to begin.
Link Here and Boes Rose collided soon after the start checking Boes Rose. Crashing Lil eased on the first turn causing Motor Ace to check off Crashing Lil. Big Bash Punter checked off Link Here on the first turn severely checking Big Bash Punter causing Italia Bella, Big Bash Punter and Giant Shadow to collide, checking all three greyhounds. Motor Ace checked off Crashing Lil approaching the home turn causing Motor Ace and Link Here to collide.
Crashing Lil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Bosnich ,the trainer of Crashing Lil regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Crashing Lil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bosnich pleaded not guilty to the charge, Crashing Lil is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.
