Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Agent Ivy was quick to begin.

Walk With Grace and Skitz collided soon after the start.  Mystic Faith, Skitz and Walk With Grace collided approaching the first turn.  Walk With Grace and Skitz collided on the first turn checking Skitz causing Shrek's Hansel and Skitz to collide.  My Rocky raced wide on the first turn and collided with Runaway Queen checking Runaway Queen who raced wide and lost ground.  Walk With Grace and Commander Kay collided approaching the home turn.  Skitz and Shrek's Hansel collided in the home straight.

Why Not Rose and Crashing Lil were quick to begin. 

Link Here and Boes Rose collided soon after the start checking Boes Rose.  Crashing Lil eased on the first turn causing Motor Ace to check off Crashing Lil.  Big Bash Punter checked off Link Here on the first turn severely checking Big Bash Punter causing Italia Bella, Big Bash Punter and Giant Shadow to collide, checking all three greyhounds.  Motor Ace checked off Crashing Lil approaching the home turn causing Motor Ace and Link Here to collide.

Crashing Lil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Bosnich ,the trainer of Crashing Lil regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Crashing Lil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bosnich pleaded not guilty to the charge, Crashing Lil is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Jollie and Fast Food Junkie were quick to begin.  Ridgeline, Blazing Strings and Diamond Lady were slow to begin.

Baby Pechey checked off Jump The Bar soon after the start.  Ridgeline and Baby Pechey collided approaching the first turn checking Ridgeline.  Blazing Strings and Diamond Lady collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Blazing Strings and Baby Pechey collided on the first turn checking Blazing Strings, Diamond Lady and severely checking Twelfth Of Never.  Blazing Strings raced wide in the home straight.  

Threadin' Mikado, Pair Of Nines and Dewana Success collided soon after the start checking Treadin' Mikado and Pair Of Nines.  Dewana Success and Patches Colour collided on the first turn checking Dewana Success.  Run Like Jess crossed in on the first turn checking Patches Colour and causing Pair Of Nines to race wide. Treadin' Mikado and Pair Of Nines collided on the second turn.  Treadin' Mikado and Patches Colour collided in the back straight checking Threadin' Mikado.  

Sailing Shoes was quick to begin.  Mindil Beach was slow to begin. Charango went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. 

Mr. Bar Wicked, Chun Li, Jackson County and One Night Only collided soon after the start.  Mr. Bar Wicked and One Night Only collided approaching the first turn.  One Night Only checked off Sailing Shoes on the first turn.  Charango raced wide on the first turn.  Jackson County checked off Mr. Bar Wicked on the first turn.  Mr. Bar Wicked, One Night Only and Chun Li collided approaching the second turn checking all three greyhounds causing One Night Only and Charango to collide.  One Night Only checked off Chun Li entering the back straight and again approaching the third turn.  Chun Li and Charango collided on the third turn checking Charango.  Mindil Beach checked off One Night Only approaching the home turn.  Sailing Shoes and Jackson County collided in the home straight.  

Devel Sixteen and Entwined collided soon after the start.  Panel and Mrs. Sharp collided soon after the start.  Dewana Classic, Devel Sixteen and Mrs. Sharp collided approaching the first turn.  Rose Mikado checked off Dewana Classic on the first turn causing Rose Mikado, Entwined and Panel to collide.  Dewana Classic, Devel Sixteen and Mrs. Sharp collided approaching the second turn.  Entwined and Panel collided approaching the second turn.  Dewana Classic and Devel Sixteen collided entering the back straight.  Rose Mikado, Devel Sixteen and Dewana Classic collided in the back straight checking Dewana Classic.  Rose Mikado checked off Devel Sixteen approaching the home turn.  Dewana Classic and Mrs. Sharp collided approaching the home turn.  

Sharni's My Girl – Late scratching at 8.38am when Mr D. Knocker reported the greyhound to have a wrist injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards spoke with Mr. Knocker regarding the circumstances surrounding the late scratching of the greyhound and accepted his explanation.  No further action was taken.

Henessey Venom was quick to begin.  Soda Flakes was slow to begin. 

Sanjiro and Atlantic Jewel collided soon after the start.  Sanjiro and Soda Flakes collided on the first turn.  Cranberry Miss checked off Better Watch Out on the second turn.  Soda Flakes raced wide throughout the event.  

Stewards issued a warning to Mr G. Burns for his failure to arrange a catcher for his greyhound Sanjiro engaged in this event pursuant to GAR 48.

Baggy's Gold, Crimson Knight and Koh Lipe were slow to begin.

Be Careful Boss checked off Gin Lee's Girl soon after the start.  Oriental Sugar and Gin Lee's Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Oriental Sugar, Gin Lee's Girl and Baggy's Gold.  Oriental Sugar checked off Gin Lee's Girl on the first turn.  Koh Lipe raced wide in the home straight. 

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Kennel Attendant Ms E. Franklin did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Jar Man and One More Light collided soon after the start.  Just Love and Big Bella collided soon after the start checking Just Love.  Cal's Girl and Just Love collided approaching the first turn.  Almapa Berisha checked off One More Light approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  One More Light and Just Love collided on the first turn checking One More Light.  Vitaliser and Almapa Berisha collided on the first turn.  Big Bella and Kraken Jacki collided approaching the home turn.  Cal's Girl, Big Bella and Kraken Jacki collided on the home turn checking Cal's Girl severely checking Big Bella which raced wide as a result and collided with Just Love.  Cal's Girl checked off Kraken Jacki entering the home straight causing Cal's Girl, Big Bella, Just Love and Vitaliser to collide causing Vitaliser to stumble.

Skittle, Zipping Samara and Carter Senor collided soon after the start.  Fun Time Mikado and Knuckles collided approaching the first turn.  Knuckles and Cater Senor collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Skittle checked off That Will Be approaching the home turn.  Line Trike and That Will Be collided approaching the home turn.  Zipping Samara and Knuckles collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Fun Time Mikado and Skittle collided in the home straight.

Skittle – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound tonight and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant Ms E. Franklin and issued a warning pursuant GAR 86(o)(negligence), after she left the kennel bay unattended following this event. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr B. Dewan pursuant to GAR 86 (f), after Mr Dewan used continuous and improper conduct/manner towards an Investigating Steward upon arrival at the course.
