Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Spring Party.
Scatterbox and Penta Allen were quick to begin. Alliteration and Aston Thunder were slow to begin.
Alliteration faultered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Spring Party checked off Scatterbox on the first turn. Scatterbox and Penta Allen collided approaching the home turn, checking Scatterbox. Aston Thunder galloped on Spring Party approaching the home turn, checking Spring Party, Aston Thunder and Dyna Garner.
Alliteration underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr A. Xerri was issued with a warning for removing his greyhound from the kennel building without the authorisation of Stewards pursuant to GAR 42(2).
