Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Aston Kipchoge and Shrek's Rose collided soon after the start.  Shrek's Rose checked off Franco Fernando on the first turn.  Magic Voyage checked off Franco Fernando approaching the second turn.  Aston Kipchoge and Shrek's Rose collided on the second turn.  Aston Kipchoge checked off Magic Voyage entering the back straight checking Shrek's Rose.  Magic Voyage and Quid Pro Quo collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.

Tekki Nibbles was quick to begin.  It's A Shadow, Diamond Duchess and Love And Thunder were slow to begin.

Butternut, Nenna Tears and Busy Time collided soon after the start.  Busy Time galloped on the heels of Love And Thunder on the first turn checking Love And Thunder, Busy Time and Diamond Duchess.  Butternut galloped on the heels of Love And Thunder approaching the second turn checking Love And Thunder, severely checking Butternut, Busy Time, Diamond Duchess and It's A Shadow; It's A Shadow stumble and lost ground as a result.

Macey Moo and Invictus Tilly were slow to begin

Invictus Tilly and True Alpha collided soon after the start.  Galloping Occy and Invictus Tilly collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.  Limburg Nemesis clipped the heels of True Alpha entering the home straight.

Valita and Romanova were slow to begin.

Light The Track clipped the heels of Down Mexico Way soon after the start.  Light The Track checked off Valita approaching the second turn.  Valita brushed the running rail on the second turn.

Impending, Cavernando and Amarillo Highway collided soon after the start.  Saint Destructor checked off Fly High Billy on the first turn checking Giggling Gerty, severely checking Impending, Cavernando and Zipping Dodge; causing Zipping Dodge to fall.  Saint Destructor and Giggling Gerty collided on the second turn and again in the back straight.  

Zipping Dodge underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hip injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Value and Ed Deeds were slow to begin.

Weblec Fire and Keenando collided soon after the start.  Keenando and Mighty Marshall collided soon after the start, on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Keenando and Mighty Marshall collided entering the back straight checking Ed Deeds.  Keenando and Mighty Marshall collided on the third turn checking Keenando.  Keenando clipped the heels of Ed Deeds on the home turn.

Mega Dossa and Zoro Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Screen Shot, Mega Dossa and Zoro Bale collided on the first turn.  Stevick and So Tough collided on the first turn; causing So Tough to race wide as a result.

Full Moon Fever, Black Opaque and Falcon Heavy were slow to begin.

Full Moon Fever checked off Chart Topper on the first turn.  Full Moon Fever galloped on the heels of Black Opaque entering the back straight severely checking Black Opaque.  According clipped the heels of Chill Out Dusty approaching the home turn.  Chill Out Dusty and Black Opaque collided approaching the winning post.

Black Que, Phoenix Drive and Larrakeyah Lady were slow to begin.

Phoenix Drive and David Coin collided soon after the start severely checking David Coin. Black Que and Phoenix Drive collided on the first turn, on the second turn and again in the back straight.

Spark Joy underwent a post-race veterinary examination after it cramped in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Opal Beach was quick to begin.  Kadalex Kid was slow to begin.

Busy Bella clipped the heels of Opal Beach approaching the first turn.  Sorry Scott stumbled on the second turn.

Shifting Sands – Late scratching at 9.26am when trainer Mr.S.Melville reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Flashy De Goey was quick to begin.

Don's Scolari crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Lady Bang Bang.  Black Beauty and Lightwood Lass collided on the first turn checking Lightwood Lass.  Kroos and Flashy De Goey collided approaching the second turn.  Flashy De Goey checked off Lady Bang Bang on the third turn.  Flashy De Goey veered in and marred Don's Scolari approaching the winning post.

After reviewing all available vision and in particular the head on footage, Stewards spoke to Mr I. Ognjenovic the trainer of Flashy De Goey regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Flashy De Goey was charged with marring. Mr Ognjenovic pleaded guilty to the charge, Flashy De Goey is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
