Steward's Report
Wyoming Express checked off Owlette soon after the start. Shelbourne Star checked off Audacious Grace on the first turn. Wyoming Express checked off Atarah entering the back straight. Audacious Grace raced wide on the home turn. Owlette turned its head in the home straight.
Owlette underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro, the representative of Owlette regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Owlette was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Pollutro pleaded not guilty to the charge, Owlette was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
