Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling in accordance with GAR 31, due to operational requirements around social distancing. The kennels closed at 10.30am.

Black Mintie and Maximum Milky collided soon after the start checking Black Mintie.  Black Panda, Declassified and Maximum Milky collided approaching the first turn checking Black Panda which brushed the running rail as a result.  Speedy Bella and Black Hog Ride collided on the first turn checking Speedy Bella severely checking Black Hog Ride which lost ground as a result.

Ranger Rose was slow to begin.  Ranger Rose contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result.  Crackerjack Suni checked off All Good Senor on the first turn checking Crackerjack Suni and Axel Boy Jose.

Ranger Rose underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Can't Say That - Late scratching at 10:13am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. Lindsay Fulford was fined $100.

Midnight Monarch and She Wiggles collided on the first turn.  Gypsy Hook and Speed Demon collided on the second turn.

Revolution Hook - Late scratching at 8:00am when trainer Mr. C. Galea reported the greyhound to have an injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Wild Card and Rose Mikado collided on the first turn.  Zipping Hunter, Rapid Response and Leo Rose collided on the first turn.  Rapid Response checked off Zipping Hunter in the back straight and collided with All Hollywood.

Wyoming Express checked off Owlette soon after the start.  Shelbourne Star checked off Audacious Grace on the first turn.  Wyoming Express checked off Atarah entering the back straight.  Audacious Grace raced wide on the home turn.  Owlette turned its head in the home straight.

Owlette underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro, the representative of Owlette regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Owlette was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Pollutro pleaded not guilty to the charge, Owlette was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ice Cool Kaedyn was quick to begin.  St. Leo was slow to begin.  Burning Mountain contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Spotted Panther.  Minter Zoom and Ice Cool Kaedyn collided on the home turn.  Minter Zoom and Weeona Jimmy collided in the home straight.  Weeona Jimmy and Terren's Close collided approaching the winning post.

Burning Mountain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left stifle and left foreleg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
