Cawbourne Mimma and Blackpool Alfie was quick to begin.
Eastern Faith and Big Bad Buck collided approaching the first turn checking Eastern Faith. Blackpool Alfie and Get Up Honey collided on the first turn severely checking Get Up Honey. Big Bad Buck and Midnight Hawk collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Get Up Honey clipped the heels of Big Bad Buck causing both greyhounds to fall.
Get Up Honey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a radius/ulna fracture. Get Up Honey was humanely euthanased.
Big Bad Buck underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain wrist and a left hamstring injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
