Further enhancements have been made by Stewards around social distancing with COVID-19. In accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed the Starter to box the greyhounds in a single file boxing process, commencing with box 1, followed by 2, followed by 3, followed by 4, followed by 5, followed by 6, followed by 7, followed by 8. Essentially 1 through 8 in single file. All handlers will be 2m back from the handler in front during loading process.

Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling in accordance with GAR 31, due to operational requirements around social distancing. The kennels closed at 10.34am.

Dr. Delilah was quick to begin. Flossy Jo and Axel Boy Jose were slow to begin.

Ranger Rose checked off the heels of Broadway Benny soon after the start. Broadway Benny and Hook Along Patch collided approaching the first turn, causing Hook Along Patch to hit the running rail and lose ground. Ranger Rose and Broadway Benny collided approaching the first turn causing Broadway Benny to hit the running rail and lose ground. Ranger Rose, Cutie Kay and Dr. Gretchen collided on the first turn, checking Ranger Rose and severely checking Cutie Kay. Cutie Kay and Aston Kipchoge collided on the first turn, checking Aston Kipchoge and causing Cutie Kay to fall. Ranger Rose and Dr. Gretchen collided on the home turn.

Hook Along Patch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the left back muscle and left quadriceps muscle. A 14 day standdown period was imposed.

Cutie Kay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an abrasion to the left hind and injuries to the left pectoral muscle, left back muscle and left thigh muscle. A 14 day standdown period was imposed.

Broadway Benny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Omega Gringo was slow to begin.

William Rose checked off Fenway Lights soon after the start. Dr. Knuckles and Fenway Lights collided approaching the first turn, checking Fenway Lights. Loufie – Late scratching at 10.31am when trainer J. Gill reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Muza's Angel, Too Good Joog, Madalia Maggie and Speed Force collided approaching the first turn, checking all greyhounds.

Degani – Late scratching at 10.31am when trainer W. McMahon reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Alberto - Late scratching at 12.17pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to vomiting. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Razor Sharp was slow to begin.
