Steward's Report

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.9 degrees. 

Prior to this event, Stewards dispensed with the GRV Hot Weather Policy as the outside temperature was 27.1 degrees.

Aston Vuitton was slow to begin.

Our Girl Bailee and Armour Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Our Girl Bailee and Mcivor Ernie.

Aston Vuitton, Roots Rock Riot and Elsa Rose collided on the first turn checking Roots Rock Riot and Mcivor Ernie, severely checking Aston Vuitton and Elsa Rose. Elsa Rose fell as a result.

Mcivor Ernie raced wide in the home straight.

Aston Vuitton underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain, right back muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mcivor Ernie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind toe and spike wound to stopper. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Elsa Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
