Aston Vuitton, Roots Rock Riot and Elsa Rose collided on the first turn checking Roots Rock Riot and Mcivor Ernie, severely checking Aston Vuitton and Elsa Rose. Elsa Rose fell as a result.

Aston Vuitton underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain, right back muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mcivor Ernie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind toe and spike wound to stopper. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Screen Shot and Zipping Clifford collided soon after the start. Omar Little, Mepunga Holly and Callow Street collided soon after the start checking Omar Little and Mepunga Holly. Up and About underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Howat, trainer of Callow Street regarding the nomination of the greyhound in this event. Mr. Howat stated that his first nomination for Callow Street was for a maiden race however as this did not occur he was graded into this special event. Stewards took no further action against Callow Street after taking into account the injury sustained and that Mr. Howat stated that the greyhound will only continue to be entered for maiden racing.

Aston Shadow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 8. Aston Shadow was found to have a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
