Superior Merlot began awkwardly and was very slow to begin (6L).
Dental Plan crossed in soon after the start checking Super Athletic and Castle Sween. Wicked Blast and Argyle Rebel collided soon after the start checking Wicked Blast. Fail In Honour checked off Dental Plan at the 250m mark checking Argyle Rebel. Fail In Honour and Peace Of Hope collided at the 150m mark. Argyle Rebel checked off Castle Sween at the 150m mark. Fail In Honour checked off Super Athletic at the 100m mark.
Stewards delayed the All Clear to view video footage of the start of this event. Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was denied a fair start.
Superior Merlot underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
