Steward's Report
Zulu Dance and Dusty Victorem collided soon after the start checking Dusty Victorem. Lunaray and Zulu Dance collided approaching the first turn checking Zulu Dance. Zulu Dance and Dusty Victorem collided on the first turn. Dusty Victorem eased and collided with Zulu Dance on the home turn. Dusty Victorem marred Zulu Dance entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Zulu Dance raced wide in the home straight.
Dusty Victorem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey, right triangle and left back muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R. Gray, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Dusty Victorem was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Dusty Victorem must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
