Galway Lights was quick to begin. Remember Jimmy was slow to begin. Thirty Red and Galway Lights collided approaching the first turn checking Thirty Red. Galway Lights and Infinite Will collided on the first turn. All Inn June and Dicky's Girl collided on the first turn checking Dicky's Girl. Jodie's Boy, Infinite Will and Galway Lights collided approaching the home turn checking Galway Lights and Infinite Will. Thirty Red and Infinite Will collided on the home turn.

Dicky's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3. Dicky's Girl was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Jodie's Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have vomited. No stand down period was imposed.

Following the event Remember Jimmy displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 10 day stand down penalty was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Orr, the trainer of Remember Jimmy and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.

Zulu Dance and Dusty Victorem collided soon after the start checking Dusty Victorem. Lunaray and Zulu Dance collided approaching the first turn checking Zulu Dance. Zulu Dance and Dusty Victorem collided on the first turn. Dusty Victorem eased and collided with Zulu Dance on the home turn. Dusty Victorem marred Zulu Dance entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Zulu Dance raced wide in the home straight.

Dusty Victorem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey, right triangle and left back muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R. Gray, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Dusty Victorem was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Dusty Victorem must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tat Ox was slow to begin. Meatball Soup, Jumbo Zeal and Zeal The Moment collided soon after the start. Serious One and Wicked Blast collided approaching the first turn checking Serious One. Meatball Soup and Zeal The Moment collided approaching the first turn. Wicked Blast and Jumbo Zeal collided approaching the first turn checking Wicked Blast. Jumbo Zeal, Kenita, Meatball Soup and Zeal The Moment collided on the first turn. Meatball Soup raced wide in the home straight.

Any Luck and Mt. View Audrey were slow to begin. Bandwagon, Curt Lee and Rothwell Girl collided approaching the first turn. Any Luck clipped the heels of Snags Mckenzie approaching the first turn, checking Any Luck. Mt View Audrey and Bandwagon collided on the first turn, checking Bandwagon.

Courtney Lee – Late scratching at 6.17pm due to the greyhound  not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 31).  Trainer Mr D. Schwartz was fined $100.

Dyna Kerro and Sonny Micawber collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Kerro checked off Ima Rebel on the first turn. Ima Rebel lost ground on the home turn. Dyna Kerro raced wide entering home straight.

Ima Rebel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right back muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments

Major Winston – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sale on 12.03.20. Major Winston was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Major Winston was Cleared to race.
