A pre-race sample was taken from Rivergum Ridge.
Ride High, Mabel's Fire and Rivergum Ridge collided approaching the first turn checking Ride High. Mabel's Fire and Fernando's Boy collided on the first turn checking Mabel's Fire. Madame Pookie and Amigo Two collided on the first turn checking Amigo Two. Mabel's Fire, Rivergum Ridge and Go pies collided approaching the home turn checking Rivergum Ridge. Go Pies and Madame Pookie collided approaching the home turn.
Amigo Two underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left track leg, a spike wound and laceration to the right hind toes. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
