A pre-race sample was taken from Whodat Opal.
Gellar Bale and Timmy collided soon after the start. My Gem and Gellar Bale collided on the first turn checking Gellar Bale. My Gem and Timmy collided on the first turn checking My Gem, Timmy, Chill Out Dusty and Whodat Opal. Exposure crossed out on the home turn checking Exposure, Emma Banjo and Rockin' Richard. My Gem raced wide in the home straight.
Exposure underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Boreland the representative for Exposure regarding the greyhound's performance on the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Exposure must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
