Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Busy Bella on 11/2/20 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Benali, Busy Bella, Zipping Sarah and Uringa were slow to begin.
Benali, Busy Bella, Zipping Sarah and Uringa collided soon after the start. Iago Bale crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Queen Harriet and Hot Finish. Black Beauty, Benali and Zipping Sarah collided on the first turn. Benali and Zipping Sarah collided on the second turn. Busy Bella checked off Benali entering the back straight. Benali checked off Zipping Sarah in the back straight. Black Beauty and Hot Finish collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Queen Harriet checked off Zipping Sarah in the home straight. Zipping Sarah marred Iago Bale approaching the winning post.
Zipping Sarah underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Azzopardi, the trainer of Zipping Sarah, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zipping Sarah was charged with marring. Mr. Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Sarah is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
