A sample was taken from Jay Bird at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Earn The Frank was quick to begin.  Jamo and Finniss Vision were slow to begin.

Any Luck and Jay Bird collided soon after the start.  Any Luck and Limburg Nemesis collided on the first turn.  Jay Bird, Manila Knight and Limburg Nemesis collided on the first turn checking Manila Knight.  Agent Levi and Any Luck collided entering the back straight checking Any Luck.  Manila Knight and Limburg Nemesis collided entering the home straight.  

Any Luck underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramping in the right hind leg. After viewing the footage and head on cameras, Stewards determined the greyhound cramped after the winning post/entering the catching pen. As a result Stewards took no action against the greyhound other than the 5 day stand down period imposed by the On Track Veterinarian.

Five Thirty and Keefe were quick to begin.  Midnight Mystery was slow to begin.

Bronski Beat checked off Keefe on the first turn.  Five Thirty checked off Dreamin' Is Free on the first turn.  Dreamin' Is Free and Cell Block Tango collided on the first turn checking Cell Block Tango.  Midnight Mystery galloped on Keefe on the second turn checking Bronski Beat, Midnight Mystery fell as a result.  Darnum Dasher turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the second turn.  Darnum Dasher and Keefe collided entering the home straight.

Midnight Mystery underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front leg and foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Darnum Dasher underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent was reported. Mr P. Hendley declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Hendley, the trainer of Darnum Dasher regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Darnum Dasher was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hendley pleaded guilty to the charge, Darnum Dasher is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Mega Rossa at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Courting was quick to begin.  Talulah Bale, Ultimate Bling and Mega Dossa were slow to begin.

Vital Force checked off Priority Pass approaching the first turn.  Ultimate Bling checked off Priority Pass approaching the first turn and stumbled.  Mega Dossa and Vital Force collided approaching the first turn.  Ultimate Bling and Talulah Bale collided on the first turn.  Shanlyn Deano checked off Courting on the first turn checking Valencia Gem.  Talulah Bale checked off Priority Pass entering the back straight checking Ultimate Bling, Valencia Gem and Vital Force.  Vital Force checked off Mega Dossa approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing Vital Force to stumble.  Priority Pass and Shanlyn Deano collided approaching the home turn.

King Colt and Dyna Uni collided soon after the start checking King Colt.  Oxley One and Sisco Ride collided soon after the start.  Rockstar Beav and Tough Tears collided approaching the first turn.  Oxley One and Rockstar Beav collided on the first turn.  King Colt, Oxley One and Rockstar Beav collided on the second turn.  Weblec Haze and Oxley One collided entering the back straight checking Oxley One, Weblec Haze and Tough Tears.  Sisco Ride faltered in the back straight and tailed off.  King Colt and Dyna Uni collided approaching the home turn.  

Sisco Ride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Shanlyn Charlott and Zipping Magda collided soon after the start.  Havana Miss and Perfect Rocky collided approaching the first turn.  Havana Miss, Perfect Rocky and Striking Weetbix collided approaching the second turn checking Havana Miss and Striking Weetbix.  Striking Weetbix and Perfect Rocky collided on the third turn.
