Steward's Report
Big Sam Marjen and Nessie Bale were slow to begin.
Nimble Jackson and Chloe Louise collided soon after the start. Nimble Jackson and Nessie Bale collided approaching the first turn. Bowled Harro checked off Big Sam Marjen on the first turn. Nimble Jackson checked off Nessie Bale on the first turn. Big Sam Marjen faltered approaching the home turn, lost considerable ground and tailed off. Chloe Louise eased approaching the winning post.
Chloe Louise underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr G Turnbull regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Chloe Louise was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Turnbull pleaded guilty to the charge, Chloe Louise must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Big Sam Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Chloe Louise - the winner of the event.
